Privacy notice
How Shine Again Coaching handles the information you share through this website.
Before you go live: the highlighted items below need your real details. Everything else already reflects exactly what this website does. This notice is a starting point, not legal advice. If you take on client data beyond website enquiries, it’s worth having it checked.

Who I am
Shine Again Coaching (“I”, “me”) is the data controller for the personal information collected through this website. You can contact me at laurie@shineagaincoaching.co.uk or by post at [business address, or “available on request”].
What I collect, and why
When you use the enquiry form
I collect your name and email address, plus your phone number and message if you choose to give them. I use these solely to reply to your enquiry and, if you go ahead, to arrange and deliver coaching. I don’t add you to a mailing list, and I don’t share your details with anyone for marketing.
The lawful basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form, and my legitimate interest in responding to people who contact my business.
When you simply visit the site
This website doesn’t set any cookies of its own and doesn’t track you across other sites. My hosting provider keeps standard server logs (including IP addresses) to keep the site running securely, and provides privacy-friendly analytics that count visits and page views without identifying you or following you around the web. Page fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address when a page loads.
Who else sees your information
- My hosting provider, which stores and serves the website.
- My website host, which receives and stores enquiry form messages and passes them to me.
- My email provider, which stores our correspondence.
I don’t sell your information, and I don’t pass it to anyone else unless I’m legally required to.
How long I keep it
Enquiries that don’t lead to coaching are deleted after [e.g. 12 months]. If we work together, I keep coaching records for [e.g. 6 years] in line with my professional and insurance obligations.
Confidentiality of coaching conversations
What we discuss in coaching sessions stays between us. The only exceptions are where I’m required by law to disclose something, or where there is a serious risk of harm to you or someone else.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask me to give you a copy of the information I hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict how I use it, or object to my using it. You can also withdraw your consent at any time. Just email laurie@shineagaincoaching.co.uk and I’ll respond within one month.
If you’re unhappy with how I’ve handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

If this notice changes, I’ll update this page and the date at the top.
